Project Manager:

Job Summary

  • Prove to have at least 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager in construction.
  • Oversee and be responsible for all aspects of the construction project.
  • Accept the leadership role of a Project Manager and implement those skills with little supervision Be able to show excellent knowledge of construction terms, processes and methods.
  • Have excellent time management skills and be responsible for several projects at one time.
  • Have a complete understanding and ability to read and implement project drawings and specifications.
  • Possess strong technology skills and be able to use modern technology.
  • Show competence with various Project Management software programs and MS Office products Be willing to adapt to existing protocol and procedures.
  • Understand, negotiate.
  • Show competence, resistance and professionalism with conflict resolution.
  • Meet and conduct discussions with owners, engineers and other project team members with the utmost respect and professionalism.
  • Conduct site tours, safety inspections and lead by example to ensure policies, procedures and standards are adhered to.
  • Oversee project closeouts and other administrative documents.
  • Liaise/coordinate with municipalities and utility companies – Be able to “think outside the box” with respect to construction practices, be proactive instead of reactive and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor the work to make sure it is on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate the work of your project team and delegate tasks where appropriate.
  • Implement any changes throughout the process.
  • Report regularly to management and the client.
  • *Must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • *Must have handled projects from $500,000-$1,000,000.00.

Site Superintendent:


  • Maintain and execute project plans and schedule and ensure compliance with the budget.
  • Supervise and coordinate all site specific construction activities and personnel.
  • Supervise, direct, train and monitor construction crews and subcontractors assigned to project.
  • Plan and coordinate trades to meet construction milestones and schedule.
  • Create a safe job-site with site specific plans, procedures, documenting and maintaining records.
  • Assess trade performance ensuring project materials and workmanship meets the project quality standards and design requirements.
  • Communicate with and obtain information from engineers, designers, inspectors, municipal/provincial agencies and owners to effectively construct the project.
  • Advise the Project Manager / senior management of potential problems, schedule difficulties and proactively resolve construction issues, conflicts and scheduling complications.
  • Maintain the project’s Daily Supervisor Log Book.
  • Skills and Experience
  • Ability to schedule, monitor and forecast resources / costing for optimum efficiency.
  • Technical, interpersonal, communication, leadership, supervision, management and dispute resolution skills.
  • Commercial construction building skills.
  • Understanding and accurately interpreting Blueprints and Specifications.
  • Experience applying basic engineering principles to construction challenges.
  • Ability to anticipate construct-ability issues and develop solutions.
  • Safe work practices.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Project / Microsoft Office / MS Word / Excel / PROCORE.
  • University degree, College diploma, apprenticeship and/or demonstrable skill-sets in related trades.
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction industry operations specifically commercial construction specifications, building materials, methods and procedures.
  • All legislated certifications / training.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Must be able to obtain security clearances for OPP, Defense Construction, Infrastructure Ontario, etc.
  • Criminal Record Clearance required.
  • Minimum 2 (Written references letter)

Physical Demands

  • Ability to perform under pressure in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to transport construction materials, drawings and communications as required.
  • Ability to use stairs, ladders and climb over rough terrain.
  • Anticipate project related travel.
  • Ability to operate from head office, project sites and variable work locations.
  • Ability to perform construction responsibilities throughout all four seasons.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • All small carpenter work such as:
  • Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items.
  • Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed. 
  • Cleaning work such as: 
  • Site cleaning by shovel or brush/broom. 
  • Removing garbage and drop it to bins. 
  • Painting. 
  • Minor painting work/repair and maintenance jobs. 
  • Logistics. 
  • To serve all site requirements for small materials. 
  • Coordinate/visit suppliers to assure delivery of material also to collect what is required. 
  • Logistic assistant in office (If need be any pick up/drop off as per request).


  • Driving License abstract.
  • Multi-task / Problem Solver / works well in a team or independently.
  • Must have tools.
